Attendee Policy for Nintendo World Championships 2017

  • Location: Manhattan Center’s Grand Ballroom (“Venue”)
  • Date: October 7, 2017
  • Doors open: 3:30 p.m. eastern time (“ET”)
  • Wristband distribution: Begins at 9:00 a.m. ET. First-come basis, and limited to one per person.

By attending the Nintendo World Championships 2017 (“NWC”) you agree to these rules and requirements, and any other rules or requirements posted at NWC. All NWC attendees (“Attendees” or “you”) must obtain a badge on site when entering the Venue or bring their badge if provided by Nintendo prior to the NWC.

Supplies of general admission (“GA”) badges are limited, and members of the general public require a GA badge to attend the NWC. Approximately 620 GA entry wristbands redeemable for GA badges will be handed out to the general public at the Venue commencing at 9:00 a.m. ET on October 7, 2017, and persons that obtain a wristband are permitted to leave and come back later in the day (prior to 6:00 p.m. ET) to obtain their GA badge and enter the Venue (you must have your GA entry wristband to obtain a GA badge). GA entry wristbands are available to the general public on a first-come basis and are limited to one wristband per person, so you are advised to arrive early. VIP badges and additional GA badges will be issued separately at Nintendo’s sole discretion and distributed to selected Attendees either by Nintendo or its partners directly or at will call. Attendees may begin entering the Venue at 3:30 p.m. ET and all Attendees must enter by 6:00 p.m. ET, even if you have previously obtained a wristband or badge. Minors (17 years of age or younger) attending the NWC must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

GA Attendees will be admitted into the Venue in the order in which they are lined up. Your GA entry wristband is not equivalent to a specific seat in the Venue. In both the GA and VIP sections seating is 1st come, 1st served (no reserving seats permitted). Nintendo reserves the right to change any Attendee’s seat in its sole discretion for any reason, including, but not limited to if an Attendee that may appear on camera is wearing apparel or otherwise is displaying content that is inappropriate, offensive, or political, or references third party brands, logos or trademarks.

Your GA badge or VIP badge, as applicable, is a revocable license to attend the NWC. As a condition of this license, the Attendee agrees to comply with all rules and requirements of Nintendo and the Venue. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of this license without compensation. Attendees must not bring the following items onto the premises: weapons, markers, skateboards, lighters, controlled substances, large containers, gum, stickers, recording devices (excluding cell phones and any recording devices possessed by authorized media) food or beverages, other than empty plastic sports bottles or medically necessary items. Nintendo reserves the right to limit backpacks, large bags, and similar items.

By entering the NWC, Attendee: (a) consents to reasonable search of all items carried onto the premises; (b) assumes all risks occurring before, during, and after the NWC event, including injury by any cause, and releases Nintendo, Venue, and their representatives and personnel from all related claims; and (c) agrees that he/she will not film, record, or transmit or aid in filming, recording, or transmitting any picture, video, audio, or other reproduction of the NWC and that Nintendo is the exclusive owner of all copyrights and other proprietary rights in same. In addition, by entering the NWC, Attendee gives Nintendo of America Inc., and anyone authorized by Nintendo, irrevocable permission to: photograph and/or record Attendee in connection with the NWC; edit and modify any resulting photographs, recordings or other media or materials (the “Photographs and Recordings”); and use the Photographs and Recordings and Attendee’s likeness, persona, voice and statements from the Photographs or Recordings in any manner or media in connection with the commercial, promotional, industry and/or internal purposes of Nintendo, its affiliates and promotional partners, without any compensation to Attendee.

Wristbands and badges for the NWC are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Take care of your NWC wristband and/or badge, as it can’t be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed, and is valid only for the NWC. NO RE-ENTRY INTO THE VENUE WILL BE PERMITTED ONCE YOU ARE ADMITTED.
